Technical Assistance Projects

Abbott Little has provided technical assistance to numerous non-profit organizations. Areas of assistance have included improving the collaboration and effectiveness of property management and supportive services operations, developing policies and procedures for emerging and established providers, and creating services and operations plans for projects in development.

Toolkit for Developing and Operating Supportive Housing

Abbott Little assisted the Corporation for Supportive Housing in creating an online resource site with sample policies, procedures, and forms that providers can use to strengthen their operations. View Toolkit

San Francisco HIV/AIDS Housing Plan

Abbott Little worked with a cross section of stakeholders and the City’s Department of Public Health to develop a series of recommendations designed to make the system more flexible and responsive to the needs of consumers while also providing faster access to housing. View Report

Highlighted Projects

Rebuild Potrero:

Abbott Little is assisting BRIDGE Housing in the services planning process for the Potrero Terrace and Annex public housing sites. This project includes interviews, needs assessment, resource mapping, and recommendations. Rebuild Potrero is part of San Francisco’s HOPE SF campaign.



San Francisco Reentry Projects:

Abbott Little is working with the San Francisco Department of Health and the San Francisco Safe Communities Reentry Council to create two reentry initiatives for State parolees returning to San Francisco, both focusing on pre-release assessment and community reintegration planning. 
 

Project Update (10/2/09):

The San Francisco Department of Public Health (DPH) has been awarded two grants, one under the Integrated Services for Mentally Ill Parolee-Clients program (California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation) and one under the Second Chance Act Prisoner Reentry Initiative (U.S. Department of Justice).  The San Francisco Juvenile Probation Department (JPD) has been awarded a grant under the Second Chance Act Youth Offender Reentry Initiative (U.S. Department of Justice).
